Location

A Meson Pousada is centrally located in the Centro Historico of Salvador with easy access to the principal points of the city.

In this neighborhood of Pelourinho there are museums, and historic churches.

Also there are restaurants, and bars where the local music can be heard.

It is an easy walk to the lower city and the port where you can catch a boat to Morro de Sao Paulo or the islands of the bay.

From the bus station (Rodoviaria)

It is easy to take a taxi if you choose to.

If not then cross the expressway on the pedestrian bridge and walk to the front of the Iguatemi Shopping Center.

Take a municipal bus to the Praça de Se and stay on the bus until the end of the line.

  • Once there take a right onto Rua Chile,
  • walk past the Lacerda elevator by one block,
  • then cross the praça there (Praça de Se) to the side of the large church(cathedral) on the other end
  • enter into the larger parça to the right (Praça Terreirio de Jesus)
  • Cross this praça to the street between the large museum (Antiga Faculdade de Medicina) and the Cantina da Lua open-air restaurant
  • The pousada is on this street (Portas do Carmo) about 50 yards down on the right at number 11.

From the Airport

Take the bus to the Praça de Se bus stop then follow the directions above.

We do offer a free airport pickup for combined reservations of R 400 or more.
